Patryk Nusbaum

I’ve had the pleasure of working together with Patryk for a few years during our Axfood project. Not only is he an incredibly skilled backend developer, but his intelligence and problem-solving abilities are on another level! He's able to understand customer requirements, see the bigger picture and build quality solutions. Patryk never backs down from a challenge and always finds a way forward using his top-down technical understanding. On top of all the technical things, he's an all around friendly guy with a great sense of humor and brings great energy. Anyone would be lucky to have him on their team!

As a Scrum Master I strive to make teams engaged, autonomous, and continuously improving. This means of course that my team members sometimes have to take on challenges outside of their core skills. Working with Patryk for almost three years, I highly appreciate his contributions as a senior developer and team member. Patryk’s skills have made a significant difference to our team and our product. He can solve complex tasks also when the conditions are not completely obvious, and he is definitely not afraid to take on new areas and tasks. Patryk is a highly respected team member both thanks to his ability to explain complex development tasks to non-developers, his ability to continuously find improvements, and his ability to navigate in different parts of the organization when needed. As a person Patryk also contributes to the team with a very positive attitude and professional behavior. If you are in need of a senior developer who combines technical excellence with great team skills and a positive attitude helping the whole team, I can give my full recommendation to hire Patryk.

Patryk joined the Eclipse team in June 2021 on a part time basis in the middle of a large upgrade project from Hybris 6.6 to SAP Commerce 2011, and then moved onto work with us on the implementation of an existing B2C solution for a new market. From day 1, he demonstrated a “can do” attitude, even with limited knowledge of business and project context. What I like most is that he is willing to roll his sleeves up, and get stuck into debugging an issue, more often than not being able to provide insights into the root cause and potential solutions in a speedy manner. Where unsure, he’s always willing to turn to the team around him for support and works to make best possible use of his time so as not to overspend on an issue which may be best placed with another team member (for example where the issues or development requires more business context than time allows him to gain). The thing I really rate most about Patryk is his willingness to jump into anything where help is needed, whether it’s a quick chat about an issue or a quick code review, his efficiency and approach to context switching has 100% contributed to the success of our projects in a short space of time. On a personal note, he has a really great openness about him, and is the sort of person you can so easily have a (virtual) chat with over a coffee, which is always appreciated especially in this world of remote working where teams can feel quite isolated. I would recommend Patryk for any role that he decides to go for in future, and hope we work together again!
